London Learning Consortium

London Learning Consortium is a leading UK / EU government funded Community Interest Company, providing learning, skills and support in the form of apprenticeships and traineeships. It also encourages and works with organisations to offer apprenticeships to people of all ages, and is focused on enabling those from disadvantaged backgrounds or with challenging circumstances. Jobs creation and opportunities for all is something Deborah is passionate about. The £5-milion organization has a board of 12-members, and has grown significantly in the last few years.

Deborah serves on the Board of Directors (as a 'non-executive director' in an independent advisory capacity - also supporting good governance and scrutinizing risk and executive decision-making). She serves on the 'Mergers & Acquisitions Committee' and 'Finance & Resources Committee', and also served over 2-years on the 'Quality & Curriculum Committee'. As well ensuring good governance, advising on business & marketing strategy, she has delivered valuable input on risk management issues on all areas related to the business.

Deborah dedicates around 1-2 days a month to LLC attending monthly board meetings, strategy meetings and committees to ensure good governance, deliver appropriate oversight, scrutiny and challenge to the CEO and Executive team in meeting their agreed goals and objectives, and monitoring the reporting of performance. She also acts as an ambassador for the organisation alongside other board members. Visit London Learning Consortium
